KOREA KAAOS – Finland and Korea bonding through music at Savoy Theatre
The traditions and contemporary cultures of two seemingly different countries intertwine in a unique concert as Finnish and Korean musicians meet on stage!
Three intriguing music ensembles take the stage at Korea Kaaos: Ensemble Sinawi takes the audience on a journey to traditional Korean tunes based on shamanistic music. Led by the Finnish flamenco guitarist, Joonas Widenius Trio fuses elements from jazz to world music. With traditional Finnish instruments, Duo Syrjälä & Logrén performs an energetic compilation of traditional Finnish folk music, inspired by contemporary themes. The dramatic meeting of these three ensembles creates an unforgettable crossover of music from age-old traditions to the modern – of both Korea and Finland.
